Werrington Environment Group is an unfunded volunteer group, aiming to enhance the environment for local people and wildlife. We hold regular events, encouraging local residents to engage with volunteers in actively improving the environment, and enhancing Werrington as a great place to live. We seek to expand our community project with the improvement of green spaces, by installing bat boxes, planting wild flowers and bulbs along Werrington Brook, and providing information boards for greater awareness.
Regular volunteer events are advertised widely and the whole community is encouraged to join us. We will work together to plant seeds and bulbs in our green spaces, and improve the habitat for wildlife. We will also work with Cambridgeshire Bat Group to install bat boxes. The improved areas will encourage our residents to visit to appreciate nature and enjoy the fresh air.
